Diptyque is proud to unveil, from 20 January 2026, a modern and artistic reinterpretation of its iconic pot-pourri. This celebrated scented blend of dried flowers and fruits – an English tradition cherished by Desmond Knox-Leet, one of the Maison’s founders – was introduced in the boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain during the Sixties.
To revive this historic creation in a modern form, Diptyque invited Ionna Vautrin, a French designer known for her poetic and minimalist creations, to redesign the object. Through collaboration and combined imaginations, a reinvention as surprising as it was unique emerged, both in its design and in the nature of the material used. The dried fruits, leaves and herbs from the original scented mix have been reborn in an assortment of decorative ceramic objects: refined, abstract shapes fashioned entirely by hand. All that’s required is a brief spray with 34 boulevard Saint-Germain Home Fragrance, named for the emblematic address where the Maison’s very first pot-pourri was sold: the scent permeates the naturally porous ceramic and is then diffused into the atmosphere.
This contemporary diffuser is part of a range of delicate, imaginative objects designed by Diptyque to diffuse fragrances in subtle, original ways. An authentic decorative object – startling, aesthetically appealing and created to last.
Conceived as a limited edition of ten unique pieces, it will be available at Maison Diptyque Paris, Maison Diptyque London and the historic boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain.
