Since its introduction in 1963, Diptyque’s classic candle has been an illuminator of light, fragrance and more, suspending time itself to open up a delicate, poetic interlude. It has become one of Diptyque’s most emblematic objects - the embodiment of the liberated, creative spirit shared by the three artists who founded the Maison.
The classic candle evolves further in 2026, with a finesse that respects its timeless character. Franco-Swiss designer Julie Richoz has subtly redesigned the vessel to showcase the dance of the flame, and the dancing letters on the black and white oval label have been reprinted in an understated relief.
The herbarium of scents welcomes five new scents composed by Alexandra Carlin and Olivia Giacobetti: Café (Coffee), Ortie (Nettle), Sésame Noir (Black Sesame), Rhubarbe (Rhubarb) and Shiso.
With sustainability in mind, the classic candle offers a new approach, both to usage time and to the object. From autumn 2026, a wax refill will be available for ten of the Maison's emblematic fragrances, extending the vessel’s useful life and reinventing the ritual of the flame while maintaining the olfactory integrity that the maison is known for.
A collection of decorative objects will also be available - complementing each gesture and celebrating time, the flame and the expertise of Diptyque
